About Us

It is Far Better to be a Client

We are lawyers. We are a law firm. Our competition on the other hand, are generally not lawyers or law firms, they are merely businesses. Why does that matter? Because lawyers owe special duties to their clients. Businesses, on the other hand, owe very little to their customers.

If attorneys fail to meet these duties, they can be subject to penalties including fees, and the loss of a license they worked most of their life to obtain.  On the other hand, generally, the most a business loses if a customer’s needs are unmet is the customer.

What Can Lawyers Offer to Clients that Businesses Cannot?

Legal advice. It is as simple as that. Every state bar in the United States protects against the unauthorized practice of law[1]. As a result of these prohibitions, you’ll see the following disclaimers on our competitions’ websites, all to assure you that they aren’t offering legal advice. Here are just a few:

Legalzoom.com

Communications between you and LegalZoom are protected by our Privacy Policy but not by the attorney-client privilege or as work product. LegalZoom provides access to independent attorneys and self-help services at your specific direction. We are not a law firm or a substitute for an attorney or law firm. We cannot provide any kind of advice, explanation, opinion, or recommendation about possible legal rights, remedies, defenses, options, selection of forms or strategies.

IncFile.com

The information provided in this site or via any other means of transmission from IncFile.com is not legal advice, but general information…. Visitors to its web site or recipients of this information should not act upon this information without consulting with legal counsel.  Information obtained from IncFile.com should NOT be used as a substitute for legal advice from an attorney. It is provided “as is”, is not guaranteed to be correct, complete or up-to-date, and IncFile.com expressly disclaims all warranties and disclaims any and all liability of responsibility for loss, claim, liability, or damage that is a result of or in any manner related to errors or omissions in the content provided by IncFile.com.

Incorporate.com

incorporate.com is a service company and does not offer legal or financial advice.

RocketLawyer.com

Rocket Lawyer provides information and software only. Rocket Lawyer is not a "lawyer referral service" and does not provide legal advice or participate in any legal representation. Rocket Lawyer is not a law firm or a substitute for an attorney or law firm.

LawyerPrepared is different.

  1. LawyerPrepared is a law firm.
  2. LawyerPrepared offers legal advice.
  3. LawyerPrepared provides legal representation.
  4. LawyerPrepared protects your communications with its attorney client privilege.

What does that mean? With our competition, they offer self-help forms. What if you choose the wrong form? What if the documents don’t do what you want it to do? They refuse to take responsibility for their product in the same way that a lawyer must take responsibility.

Why Haven’t Other Law Firms Offered This?

Price and time. Lawyers are generally expensive and they usually take their time. LawyerPrepared has created a business model and a system that allows attorneys to efficiently review the documents without charging you for gathering the information.  Thus, you get actual legal advice without paying for an attorney to gather the facts you already know.

[i] Each state bar has its own rules of professional conduct governing attorneys. However, they are fairly uniform, typically conforming to the American Bar Association Rules. Accordingly, all rules cited herein refer to the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct: http://www.americanbar.org/groups/professional_responsibility/publications/model_rules_of_professional_conduct/model_rules_of_professional_conduct_table_of_contents.html
